December 2017

11th December 2017

We were delighted to be invited to participate in in the first ever Albion Literacy Cup, delivered in partnership with the Premier League and the National Literacy Trust.

On Monday 11th December, ten of our Year 5/6 children went to the American Express Community Stadium where they took part in several events including word challenges, a Stadium Tour, a workshop with the author Paul Cookson  a mock press conference and literacy skills drill.

In the afternoon, all 120 children from the 12 schools present took part in The Premier League Writing Stars Challenge. Our group chose our school's entry and we were delighted that the judging panel selected Bramber Primary as the winners! Congratulations to Nicholas Osinski and Alex Wilmott who wrote and presented our poem and a huge well done to all of our children who attended and participated so well. As always, we were very proud of our Bramber pupils.
